Before your session begins, we will review your medical history in person, discuss your goals, and confirm the area you’re treating. You may be asked to:

• Shave 12–24 hours before the appointment

• Avoid sun exposure and self-tanners

• Skip active exfoliants (AHA/BHA/retinol) on the treatment area

• Arrive with clean, product-free skin

Clarity II features advanced cryogen, which sprays cool air right before each pulse. This step protects the skin surface, minimizes discomfort, and allows higher, more effective settings. Most clients describe the sensation as a cool burst, followed by a quick snap - similar to a rubber band, described as mild discomfort, and significantly easier than waxing.

After the full area is complete, cooling or soothing products will be applied such as a cool compress or aloe vera gel, which reduces redness and heat quickly.

It’s common to experience slight redness, “goosebumps” around follicles, and warmth in the skin for 10–30 minutes. These are normal signs the laser has successfully targeted the follicles. Most clients return to normal activities immediately.

After your session, expect simple and easy care:

• Do not pull or wax hair between sessions. Hair will begin to shed naturally over the next 1–3 weeks

• Avoid heat (saunas, hot tubs, intense workouts) for 24 hours

• Avoid direct sun exposure for 1–2 weeks

• Use SPF daily (even on overcast days). Reminder that Calgary is the sunniest city in all of Canada!

• Skip exfoliating acids or retinol for 48 hours

Most clients notice visible reduction after 1–2 sessions, with slower regrowth and patchiness (normal and expected). Full results typically require 6–8 sessions, depending on the area, skin type, and hair growth cycles.
